Lovely. Quaint. Charming. Relaxed. Those are some of the words that come to mind when describing Bermuda. Located in the Atlantic Ocean about 650 miles off the coast of North Carolina, Bermuda is a relatively small (just 21 miles long) self-governing British overseas territory with an old-fashioned style. Just imagine an island of pink beaches and warm sunshine where the top speed limit is a leisurely 20 mph and where businessmen wear shorts (with a jacket and tie), and you'll get the essence of Bermuda.
Thanks to the Gulf Stream, Bermuda enjoys great weather; in July, expect temperatures from 77 F / 25 C (low) to 87 F / 31 C (high). Although Bermuda has its own currency, U.S. Dollars are accepted everywhere at a fixed 1:1 exchange rate to the the Bermuda Dollar.
